STUDYING IN ITALIAN – PREPARATORY PROGRAM

Online Italian language courses (MORE INFORMATION HERE)

The matter of teaching and learning the Italian language has become even more urgent for foreign exchange students in this time of personal and collective isolation in the wake of the ongoing Coronavirus emergency.

With the aim of promoting linguistic, social and cultural inclusion, the University of Brescia will relaunch its Italian language courses in the second semester, in the belief that language education and training is an indispensable means of welcoming and integrating foreign students that enables them to reinforce their identity and create a sense of community, even if it’s in a virtual classroom.

The Italian language courses, which are divided into three learning levels, are designed for Erasmus students, PhD students, bachelor’s students and visiting professors who are part of international mobility programmes. In order to enroll, candidates will have to sit a placement test to assess their initial level of competence in Italian. Interdisciplinary and in-depth activities will be provided to further develop the learners’ linguistic and cultural skills.

The calendar for upcoming live tutoring and asynchronous activities will be provided and updated on a weekly basis.
