IDENTITY AND MISSION STATEMENTS:

The educational institute, with which we cooperate, is known as a school that welcomes, educates and educates through autonomy – organizational and didactic – and the overall formation of the person in an educational environment is characterized by serenity and hospitality in order to favor the cultural and human growth of each student.

The Mission

The Mission of the school consists in promoting an educational action aimed at recognition and satisfaction of individual needs, both relational and cultural formative of the students through the enhancement of individuality and diversity, of culture and knowledge.

The primary aim is to feel good at school together, realized through projects and activities articulated in itineraries aimed at scholastic success.

A set of planned and proposed activities tends, essentially, to the construction of an environment which is reassuring, welcoming, stimulating and rewarding school for both pupils and staff.

The pedagogical context promotes an active and dynamic didactic-educational intervention which appeals to the initiative and creativity of both the pupils and of all the staff working in the Institute.

STUDYING IN ITALIAN – PREPARATORY PROGRAM

During the first week of classes, the teachers will evaluate the level of the Italian language understanding and usage of the student, with regards to their expected level in the high school class and will identify the additional requirements in order to study and pass that year in an Italian school.

This “Class Council” will determine the appropriate draft of literacy in order to overcome the language barrier in the shortest possible time and facilitate the inclusion of the students in the class group.

The program will usually run 4 months, with the requirement of a cultural tutor/mediator organized for ten hours a week:

·   3 hours of intensive Italian language lessons using Italian language books for foreigners

·   5 hours of coexistence in class in some subjects to facilitate the understanding of key concepts

·   2 hours of assisted study for the review of questions and answers
